In addition, most VisionFirst locations offer an Optomap Retinal Exan, a new technology that doesn't require us to dilate your eyes. This allows you to resume your regular schedule quickly and without fuss.

And for our glaucoma patients, there's the GDx technology. Instead of checking for the symptoms of glaucoma damage, the GDx allows us to directly examine the nerve fiber layer and the tissue at the back of the eye, which is most affected by glaucoma. With this technology, we can detect early signs of the disease, which leads to earlier treatment and better sight preservation.
