At VisionFirst, we know the right pair of sunglasses can add chic and polish to your look and we’ll help you find the pair that is right for you.

Tips for Sunglasses Shopping

  • Women with round faces can carry off ovals, wraps and shields.
  • Those with angular or thin faces look better in rounder frames.
  • Avoid buying a pair of sunglasses that have the same shape as your face.
  • Polarized lenses are better because they reduce scattered light, which is what causes glare.
  • The color and degree of darkness on the lens aren’t a determinant in how well the sun’s harmful UV rays will be blocked; so look for sunglasses that block at least 99% of UV rays.

MEN’S SUNGLASSES

Men’s sunglasses can make a statement about who they are-the key is to choosing the right pair to make the right statement! Most men have only one pair of sunglasses; however, they may have chosen a sporty pair that does not look right for dressy occasions, or just the opposite: a dressy pair when they are casual. Make sure your sunglasses match the look of your wardrobe whether it is sporty, casual or dressy.

Tips for Sunglass Shopping

  • If you have a round face, go with rectangular frames or something with sharper corners.
  • Oval faces look good with a wide rectangle.
  • Aviators are universal: they look good on all face shapes.
  • Wire frames make round faces look slim while heavier plastic frames work better with longer faces.
  • Polarized lenses are better because they reduce scattered light, which is what causes glare.
  • The color and degree of darkness on the lens aren’t a determinant in how well the sun’s harmful UV rays will be blocked; so look for sunglasses that block at least 99% of UV rays.
